David Hinckley New York Daily News Gasland Part II couches its anger in the measured tones of someone who is trying to suppress that anger long enough to explain to outsiders why the situation is so outrageous. Rated: 4/5 Jul 8, 2013 Full Review Eric Kohn IndieWire Although overly dense and at times unfocused, "Gasland Part II" successfully continues Fox's crusade against the ill effects of natural gas. Rated: B Jul 8, 2013 Full Review Verne Gay Newsday Fox is on to something. But he's on to too much of something, and that sprawl -- which takes him from Dimock, Pa., to Dish, Texas, to Hollywood, to Queensland, Australia, to the bayou, to Washington, D.C. -- tends to dilute the story he set out to tell. Rated: B Jul 8, 2013 Full Review Sarah Boslaugh Playback:stl Gasland Part II is basically a film for the converted; if you didn't get the message with Gasland, you won't get it with this film. Audience Member Meandering sequel to the groundbreaking first film. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member The ugly truth and the people of this country need to stand up and fight or we are in for even uglier times. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member 8/27/16 Netflix Take my review of the original Gasland and extend it around the world and add earthquakes to the formula and you have Gasland ll. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Audience Member Saw it..... disappointed..... I prefer factual data over misinformation, hyperbole, lies....... If you do then watch the following: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTJaaeiuzSU Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Frackosaurus, the animated fracking dinosaur, made me laugh out loud.... Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Gasland Part II features the same narrative and film editing techniques as Gasland, but its target is somewhat different, and makes the film worth viewing: while it re-encapsulates some of the first film's information and themes, it takes aim not simply at fracking per se - but at the political machinations of state and federal and corporate interests which make the entire issue so appalling. The film is scrupulously non-partisan opening with pro-fracking comments by Obama, both Clintons, and Mitt Romney. Although Fox (the director) may add a few too many things into his film (like California Earthquakes & Fracking), overall the film stays focused on its main target: seeing how corporate influence of government (at multiple levels) corrodes democracy and our environment - even how it corrodes our government itself. Highly recommended as an eye-opening critique of our corporate-political culture. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/17/23 Full Review Read all reviews
