Wendy Ide Observer (UK) It's a striking piece of film-making, beautifully shot by McConnell. Rated: 4/5 Aug 11, 2019 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian A sombre, angry film about a people under political siege. Rated: 4/5 Aug 8, 2019 Full Review Nigel Andrews Financial Times The film's dynamo is in its details. Rated: 4/5 Aug 7, 2019 Full Review Graeme Tuckett Stuff.co.nz I've never seen a film that so accurately and often captures that exact moment in a child's life when the laughter and smiles suddenly wither and harden into an adult's anger and fear. Rated: 4/5 Mar 11, 2021 Full Review Alan Zilberman Washington City Paper It wisely avoids any sermonizing or calls to action, and instead serves as an unwavering depiction of cinematic empathy. Feb 28, 2020 Full Review Steven Sheehan The Digital Fix While Gaza achieves some of its aims in revealing the ordinary people of Gaza away from the cyclical violence shown on news channels, the longer it continues, the more we see of the war and bloodshed so commonly associated with the region. Jeff W Beautiful cinematography and story telling. Shows the ordinary power of people trying to live their lives in a conflict zone. Unfortunately it never reveals the true source of their suffering (only their anger), any critical commentary of their leadership, Hamas, and therefore fails to really make any sense of the suffering they portray. If you want to see everyday people living their lives this is great. If you're looking for thoughtful commentary on the reasons they live as they do, you'll need to look elsewhere. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 11/04/23 Full Review CL Excellent. Shows what gazans go through just to exist. Awful. And this was made before the current 2023 mess. No wonder they exploded. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Emotional, intense, personal. Great window into the reality experienced in gaza on a daily basis. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/24/23 Full Review Audience Member Completely out of context and reality. Didn’t show any incendiary ballots or missiles being sent to civilians in Israel. Nor did it show any of the terror tunnels going frim Gaza to Israel. It’s not possible to make a balanced documentary of Gaza while the terrorist group Hamas is in charge and supervising every breath of any of the people in the film. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/04/21 Full Review Audience Member Speechless, future generations will ask why did the world sit by and allow this to happen. A must watch if you want to see raw footage of people living through this without all the propaganda. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Audience Member Excellent, thought provoking movie. It showed a day in the life of different characters and showed what each endures as a resident of Gaza. The hopelessness of being political prisoners kept from their homeland. England and America's culpability in creating Israel, in a country called Palestine and then in powering Those newly created countrymen to run rough-shot over the rest of Palestine as corrupt leaders steal more and more land that they never were entitled to..Declare them sub human so no one complains when you kill them and rape their land, Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
