Gene (Gene Autry) inherits half the rights to a mine when his foster father dies, with the other half going to the dead man's East Coast niece, Barbara (Carol Hughes). She comes to town hoping to sell the mine, but Gene is unwilling to part with it, as it employs many disadvantaged people. Barbara hires two attorneys to forge ahead, not realizing that they want the mine for themselves. While an unexpected romance blossoms between the mine owners, the scheming lawyers plot to kill Gene.

Pleasant Gene Autry film, but nothing out of the ordinary for him, Average. Some good musical numbers, the plot is decent. Good supporting cast but very average.
