Jake Wilson Sydney Morning Herald 03/12/2014

While Yudin gives us plenty of room to laugh at them, he also acknowledges their capacity to inspire awe - not only at their bulging muscles, but at their willingness to go all the way with the infantile wish to look bigger than anyone else. Go to Full Review
Louis Black Austin Chronicle 10/04/2013
2.5/5
The film ends up being about much more than itself, much more than just bodybuilding or bodybuilders. Although a bit overlong, it is really a triumph of intelligent, strategic filmmaking. Go to Full Review
Nicole Herrington New York Times 09/19/2013

For a documentary about extreme discipline, the filmmakers lack restraint: the movie, about 20 minutes too long, undercuts much of its own momentum. Go to Full Review
Debbie Lynn Elias Behind The Lens 01/07/2020
Cleanly lensed, succinctly edited, Generation Iron is the bodybuilding documentary for this generation. Go to Full Review

...just about enough memorable quotes, eloquence, personality, and pathos to divert even those of us with no interest in sport. Go to Full Review
Leigh Paatsch Herald Sun (Australia) 03/18/2014

11/17/2019 If you haven't seen pumping iron before this. The movie will throw you off on how it is filmed. See more 11/22/2016 Very good documentary about the mindset of a bodybuilder. Strong genes are one thing, but hard work another.. Respect to Kai Greene for his hard work. See more 01/24/2016 not as entertaining as pumping iron but still very good See more 08/14/2015 Does not even come close to `Pumping Iron` See more 07/02/2015 It's pretty cool and a good watch for fans of the art.
