kevin w I love when I see a film that I didn't know about and then find out that it's quite the little gem. Enter this bit of Brit wartime propaganda that showcases the contributions of the fairer sex, interestingly presented as if trying to convince dimwitted British males that they were blessed lucky to have the ladies on their sider. Therein is the find here, a slice of real Britannica, how the wartime male viewed the other half, their dream women, well presented by director Leslie Howard, who LEFT HOLLYWOOD to return and give a hand back home during wartime ... my new hero, as that decision ultimately costs him his life. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member A relatively unknown movie that looks that female involved in World War II. Generally less exposed cast (as in non-high profile) shows how the ladies helped assist the bases at the war front during the early days of the saga. Sadly, this film tries and the results are forgettable. Tragically unknown for perhaps all the right reasons. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member An interesting historical insight in to the wartime activity of women and the opinion of their male counterparts. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member The film does not feature the line that is mentioned in the review below. The reviewer below obviously has something against women drivers! All in the all the film was ok! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Filmed in 1943 this has an authentic feel to it. I only watched it because I could imagine my nan being in it! I'm glad I did. Also contains the immortal line - "Women - driving? Now I know we're in a war!"
