Synopsis
In this documentary, George Gershwin, the popular American composer and pianist, is honored at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. with a two-hour concert, featuring singer Sarah Vaughn. The New Jersey Symphony Orchestra backs Vaughn as she interprets many of his most famous compositions, including "Rhapsody in Blue," "An American in Paris" and "Summertime," from the Broadway musical "Porgy and Bess." A packed house of luminaries looks on with appreciation.
