Matt D I was channel surfing and I caught this movie on a streaming service and I couldn't stop watching it… Gritty, tough and great action. It's has some great dark comedy moments and it's pretty rough "emotionally" toward the end. If you're fan of Gibson action films, this is a definite watch. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/11/23 Full Review What F Very well done. No "woke" garbage shoehorned into the movie. Just the way a criminal comedy should be. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 09/18/23 Full Review Michael V Mel Gibson is top tier in this. Hilarious, suspenseful, and very entertaining. Loved it! Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 08/04/23 Full Review stephen l Great Movie! Worth owning… Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A passable but overly convoluted action thriller saved by the charm of it's actors. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Clayton D Mel Gibson is in fine form in this entertaining and, often hilarious, action thriller Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/14/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Robbie Collin Daily Telegraph (UK) [Gibson] and the boy make the kind of cross-generational double act that deservedly went out of fashion with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, although it's superficially toughened up with bad language and cigarettes. Rated: 2/5 May 11, 2012 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian [A] lively, non-PC caper-thriller, with touches of Elmore Leonard and Quentin Tarantino... Rated: 3/5 May 10, 2012 Full Review Nigel Andrews Financial Times The plot thickens to the density of Semtex, then explodes. Rated: 4/5 May 10, 2012 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Part prison movie, part crime-centric actioner, part comedy, and part portrait of official corruption in Mexico, it never quite comes together. Rated: 2.5/4 Oct 4, 2022 Full Review Ed Travis Hollywood Jesus Get The Gringo isn't high art. It is a fun, mean, and often-times hilarious piece of crime cinema. It certainly deserved a theatrical run... Mar 31, 2020 Full Review Lee Cassanell CineVue El Pueblito is arguably the star of the show, its seedy backstreets and market stalls beautifully constructed and skilfully shot. This might be Grunberg's first job at the helm, but it certainly won't be his last. Rated: 4/5 Jan 8, 2019 Full Review Read all reviews
