Rated 3/5 Stars •  Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member There's nothing like a good cyber brain story and Kazuchika Kise conjures one up in Ghost in the Shell Arise: Border 4 - Ghost Stands Alone. Astoundingly, a lot is packed into 50+ minutes of story time. Very technical in nature, the plot details do require attention to grasp, and maybe even multiple viewings to get the most out of it; however, throwing all the technological aspects aside, this film still makes for a great watch. There isn't much to argue when it comes to Japanese animation and there is no exception here. The character designs and the settings come together for some great eye candy. The action follows in the visual's footsteps. The voice work is up to par with the visuals. Maaya Sakamoto's portrayal of Motoko Kusanagi hits the spot. The same can be said for the rest of the cast as well. Ghost in the Shell Arise: Border 4 - Ghost Stands Alone takes effort to comprehend, but that doesn't deter a viewing.
