Joseph P Same as the previous OVA, this has some really choppy editing, and very basic not so good voice acting. Again, watch the 26 episode version. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 07/24/17 Full Review Audience Member I totally advise you to check out this film series is amazing. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member The sequel to Ghost In The Shell: The laughing man is better left in it's original tv series format. Having watched both versions of each season (the original episodes in order and the chopped together film versions) they did a better version editing the first season into a coherent film than with 2nd Gig. The big problem is that this film is shorter than "The Laughing Man" and cuts a good 15 to 20 minutes worth of expletive that, without having watched the series, would have lost me. Namely a scene where section nine is investigating and defusing a nuclear bomb in the middle of an evacuated city. This is explained quite well in the series and it's absence is noticeable in the film version. It wouldn't have taken much to add those crucial moments in to the picture, but other than that the movie is right below the first in my book. If you loved the first movie, you'll love this movie as it packs as much action and story in as the first. If it weren't for the missing sections of the story that were oh so relevant, it would be even better. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member The second season of SAC felt like a series of filler episodes that got tied together at the last minute by an overall story arc. Now normally I hate filler. So why did I give this 4 stars? Because it was 26 episodes of some of the best damn filler I have seen in years! There aren't many shows today being produced anywhere in the world that can give you a decent story from start to finish in 22 minutes.
