Audience Member Althought it's cliche & has undeniable resemblence to Being There but it's watchable & has its own good moments Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Frances H Charming film that, as one audience reviewer pointed out, is similar to Being There, also one of my favorite movies. It's message of enjoying life to the fullest in the moment is complemented by an outstanding cast, and a very literate script brought to the screen with deft direction. It deserves more notice than it has obviously gotten. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/26/12 Full Review Audience Member En söt film om livet på ett ålderdomshem och vilja att leva. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/02/23 Full Review Audience Member Althought it's cliche & has undeniable resemblence to Being There but it's watchable & has its own good moments Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Audience Member ~Gideon quoting Yeats Poem~ Far off, most secret, and inviolate Rose, Enfold me in my hour of hours; where those Who sought thee at the Holy Sepulchre, Or in the wine-vat, dwell beyond the stir And tumult of defeated dreams; and deep Among pale eyelids heavy with the sleep Men have named beauty. Once upon a time: lol. My best friend her name is Fanny converted me to watch a French Movie, it began with Gideon. Very lovely lovely Movie. I very much adore this Movie. I have seen it so many times. I could watch over and over and I would never be bored. This Movie stole my heart for the very first time I watched it. I love it! After watching Gideon I immediately bought it online and luckily I found it. I recently found out that Gideon is rare to find. This is one of the Movies that cheers me up.
