This series was diabolical. Every character is an absolute moron. The level of police incompetence is almost laughable. The storyline, the characters, the lack of depth and character development- it was all so infuriating and I wish I’d never watched it. Avoid! Why they thought the viewers would overlook the fact that it was filmed nowhere near Britain. Totally ruined what could have been a great drama. Shame on you. See more James N @JamN1985 Jan 12 Even though the last thing TV needs is yet another "abducted girl" drama series. I went in wanting to like this because I think Alfie Allen is a really interesting actor. The fact the producers chose to give it the most obvious, cringe name 'Girl Taken' should have warned me. This turned out to be a shopworn, instantly forgettable thriller that left me wondering how it ever got made. The story was ridiculous and full of too many holes to the point I gave up on it half way. I can't tell if it was down to the acting or the scripts but it was giving student film (but with a budget) vibes. See more Carl W Jan 9 Tried hard to like this but Alfie Allen couldnt convince me he could even break a twig in half let alone be a psychopath and his "baby doll" was just cringe. Decent acting from the girls but it was a slow boring watch and the end was like the writers gave up trying and had enough. Didn't need to be 6 parts it could of been done in 3 max. Some credit for the girl performances and Jill halfpenny gave her usual troubled mom turn but all in all its a bit of a flop. See more Read all reviews
