See more montel p @RT46386565 Sep 2 Based on memory from years ago, two watches, recommending to someone and coming back now after remembering the odd ball comedy of each actor, I am taken back by the low ratings this movie has gotten from people. I am unsure why itysl was such a hit and this was not. Awkward, off-beat comedy at its best. I hope people return to this to give flowers but I guess some things hit and some things just don't. I'll be returning to rewatch to see if it lives up, this week. See more Martin B @RT44235356 05/16/2023 What a bumber. The scenes, acting, dialogue all had a gray haze over them. My metaphor would be the movie was like an out of date office building with beat up furnishings and a buzzing, flashing flourescent light that needed changing but no one thought it was worth the time to change. Some yucks but only modestly, some drama but only barely it mostly it was about as satisfying as eating rice cakes. See more T T @RT95435478 01/26/2023 Bob Odenkirk is a great actor, and I love all of his work. Even his acting in this movie is good. But his performance alone is not enough to save this movie. While it is not a boring movie to watch, it ends up being a whole bunch of nonsense. I cracked up a few times, but that was it. The storyline was not fully developed. The first 15 minutes were ok but then it became sloppy and finally it ended abruptly. There were a lot of loose ends and almost no depth to the characters. Definitely not worth 70 minutes of your time, in my opinion. See more 07/18/2022 While Odenkirk brings a fair amount of charm here it's no comparison to the work he's shown he's capable of doing. The humor is so-so, the characters aren't very memorable, and whatever meaning one is supposed to find within its narrative is obscured by the dullness of the whole affair. While this isn't terrible it's not Odenkirk's best nor do his costars get much of a chance to shine here, either.
