Audience Member Polyester vs. plaid in a backwoods battle of the sexes with vaguely anti-development hicksploitation themes and a lot of cheaply racist and wimmen-hatin' gags. The third act semi-comedy rape and aftermath are shot night-for-night, so whatever exploitation value co-writer Crawford was going for with the Kerwins seems lost in a muddle of hackneyed jokes and half-baked significance. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Shot in FL with lots of palmettos, racist overtones, lousy music, abuse of the zoom lens, one bizarre expressionistic sequence and one of the longest fight scenes ever. The last line of dialog is "Oh, shit!" Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Read all reviews
