It’s still a guy in a suit stomping through lovingly detailed miniatures, and by American standards it’ll always have that delightfully cheesy camp element, but this painstakingly crafted affair is one of the easier series efforts to take seriously.

A film I consider a masterpiece. Either version. Its a film that gives the King of the Monsters his just due respect. A film that still shows that Godzilla is still a force to be recognized. And this film does not hold back. It let's us know that not only is Godzilla is not just powerful...but a tragic figure. Still a banger of a film from start to finish. And with an ending that will leave you in tears.
