Joshua Meyer Slashfilm The concluding film, Godzilla: The Planet Eater, vindicates the trilogy in a way that manages to stay true to it while also being true to the franchise and what fans have come to expect when they sit down for a Godzilla movie. Mar 3, 2021 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis Asian Movie Pulse Godzilla: The Planet Eater is a worthy conclusion to an overall satisfying trilogy, although a different approach towards the action aspect would definitely benefit the film much. Dec 2, 2019 Full Review Jak-Luke Sharp Film Inquiry Godzilla: The Planet Eater is the finale of an unsatisfying and highly flawed trilogy. Mar 20, 2019 Full Review Brian Costello Common Sense Media Plodding anime sequel has some violence, morbid content. Rated: 2/5 Jan 29, 2019 Full Review Daniel Kurland Den of Geek This is certainly the most complete of the three films, but it's also encouraging to see how it helps makes the previous two movies in the trilogy feel richer. Dimitris T As the story nears its end, gradually sinking into eldritch religious madness, it constructs some of the most compelling character narratives ever seen in the Godzilla franchise, including some intimate relationships between humans and monsters. The second film's themes of human arrogance explored through technology are followed by themes of existentialism, comfort and self-destruction explored through religion. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/23/24 Full Review Timmy S The ending was expected good but he’s turnout into kamikaze with Tani went alternative pessimistic, human characters are erratic could not help Godzilla fights Void Ghidorah as themselves. I was so overwhelmed deride. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 06/29/24 Full Review josh d The first two of these were bad, and this one is no different Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 06/09/24 Full Review Teddy T Meh. Just a another classic Godzilla movie. The ending was definitely NOT satisfying and Earth Godzilla fighting against Ghidorah, the Planet Eater was the most boring fight in the history of Godzilla fights. I mean, the whole point of watching the movie is to see an epic Kaiju fight and this movie failed spectacularly at just that. But I still do love Godzilla movies so 2 stars. (Fyi I did not watch the previous 2 movies in the trilogy.) Rated 2 out of 5 stars 06/06/24 Full Review Chanr3y k The movie ends yet again with a painfully boring ending, and also with the worst ghidorah and worst godzilla vs ghidorah fight in the series, Mothra is also in the movie, she gets built up the entire movie but only gets about 4 seconds of screentime. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/09/24 Full Review Hundley Why does this have a lower audience score than Godzilla 1998? In what universe is this movie worse than that??
