Probably the best litmus test to take to see if you're into Toho's style of rubber suit monsters duking it out. Go to Full Review

Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah is off the hook. This movie has everything your sugar-coated inner child could possibly stand. Go to Full Review

The good parts are wonderful, but they are backloaded and buried under a science fiction plotline that is interesting mostly because of how confusing it gets. Go to Full Review

While the story’s logic and time-travel rules are inconsistent, the mix of human drama and kaiju action creates an original and entertaining experience, with occasional moments reminiscent of Terminator 2. Special effects are solid for 1991 Japan, despite visible rigging during Ghidorah’s scenes. Though not as strong as previous Heisei films, Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah delivers thrilling monster battles and an engaging spectacle. A childhood classic that became my gateway to the Godzilla franchise and the kaiju genre as a whole. This movie has always been one of my personal favorites, ever since I first saw it as a kid. It was one of the first Godzilla movies I ever saw and was my introduction to King Ghidorah. I still remember watching this movie when it aired on the Sci-fi Channel (Syfy) back in the early 2000's. I also remember renting it on VHS from the public library! Even though the plot makes absolutely no sense, I still find it very entertaining to watch, even as an adult. Say what you will about "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah", but one thing that it's not is boring. Even with its goofy, nonsensical time travel plot, I still find it very engaging, even when the monsters aren't on screen, and once the monsters finally throw down, it's extremely satisfying. Godzilla's fights with both King Ghidorah and Mecha King Ghidorah are very memorable and have left a permanent mark in my mind forever. I consider "Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah" one of my all-time favorite "So Bad, It's Good" movies. I enjoy it, warts and all. See more Professor X Mar 20 Godzilla vs King Ghidorah in my opinion is one of the most overrated films in the Godzilla franchise. By the way I don 't hate this movie. Starting with the positives it has the Heisei Godzilla design and Mecha-King Ghidorah is one of the coolest kaiju in the Heisei era. As for the negatives this is easily the worst King Ghidorah origin story in the entire franchise. Why did they have to say he was made with 3 ugly little critters. Also the time travel logic is one of the most incomprehensible things in film history. They removed Godzilla from the timeline, but since everyone remembered Godzilla he wasn't removed from the timeline. Does that make sense to anyone? In conclusion this film is way too confusing.
