      What to Know

      Critics Consensus

Much like a bad trip to the mall, Going Shopping starts out fun but eventually degenerates into a shallow and unsatisfying experience.

Audience Member excellent funny and thought provoking about our habits. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Good for a made for tv type thing, otherwise, i wouldn't pay money for it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/25/23 Full Review Audience Member Very cool flick.. The ensemble cast are led by Victoria Foyt, Rob Morrow, Lee Grant and Bruce Davison. Foyt is magnificent as store owner Holly Gilmore who?s trying to save her store. Holly goes through some gyrations as a shop owner, mother, friend, girlfriend, etc. Foyt flexes her acting muscles in one scene in particular. Funny stuff. I saw this film with my boyfriend and he said he really learned some things about women and shopping as a result of the interviews which Jaglom interspersed throughout the film. Jaglom?s improvisational directing style really works here giving the actors own words and experiences real authenticity. A fun film to watch. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member I can't say this was the movie of the year. On the contrary. The characters irritated me one by one, the plot is far from interesting. I seldom switch off a movie before the end. I watched the end today just because I was a bit curious how it all ends. Needless to say this movie is not exciting and not a must see flick. Avoid it! Robert Denerstein Denver Rocky Mountain News Jaglom's concentrated approach serves up some insight to be sure, but the movie states its case in the first 10 minutes and then proceeds to run out of things to say, almost as quickly as the women in this movie think they've run out of things to wear. Rated: C+ Mar 31, 2006 Full Review Michael Booth Denver Post Alleges support of women, yet fetishizes their objects instead of their relationships. Mar 31, 2006 Full Review Michael Wilmington Chicago Tribune [Henry] Jaglom's Going Shopping is a nifty little oddity, another of his unlikely, entertaining movie hybrids. Rated: 2/4 Mar 31, 2006 Full Review Matt Pais Metromix.com As breezy as window-shopping and reminds us that, in both shopping and love, everyone has buyer's remorse and few items fit right.
