Gold Dust suffers from a case of tonal whiplash for about half its runtime. But, thanks to witty dialogue, a story overflowing with creativity, and excellent turns by the entire cast, the movie entrances the viewer. Go to Full Review Read all reviews

09/30/2020 Character driven, with quirky characters and witty, frequently amusing dialogue between 2 friends looking for a lost ghost ship, thinking other explorers may find it before they do, on the southern U.S. and Mexican border. They stumble into the aftermath of money lost to a Mexican cartel honcho, and become unwitting targets. Very good story telling without graphic or gratuitous violence, and it even lacks the usual-these-days profanity and nudity. Don't look for fast pacing and rabid action, just engaging and unusual characters smartly written and well acted. See more 04/10/2020 This movie surprised me. I was expecting a typical treasure hunt adventure, but it delivered more than that with whimsical comedic characters with fun costumes (ones that kids would love to recreate for Halloween costumes), adventure and suspense and a sprinkle of real 'gold dust' when the characters found something worth more than gold. We laughed a ton in this movie and our hearts were warmed, which was an unexpected delight. I would watch again and highly recommend it for a fun family movie night. See more 04/09/2020 Enjoyed it.
