The dramatic parts could have been handled better as do the flashbacks, which are not exactly placed in ideal moments. As a whole, however, “Golden Kamuy” is definitely worth watching, both for the adaptation and the unique elements of the original.

Bad acting, bad costume, bad casting. Typical Japanese movie that uses bad actors based on production companies power. So sad to see a good manga being made to a bad movie.

Although the depictions of Ainu life in the early 20th century are ethnographically interesting, the movie itself is frustrating because it ends with no resolution of the story. It is also about thirty minutes longer than it needs to be, mostly because of flashbacks that could easily have been cut.

From manga to anime to this live adaptation. If anyone is interested, please read the manga; it's more detailed, like an encyclopedia. Every character is quirky and awesome. can't wait for the sequel.
