This is the best Bond film yet. It the best story, action and it starts to bring in the things I'd expect to see in a Bond film. Yeah this was just a good spy action film.

Wildly popular movie though not without it's faults. A couple of them are a ludicrous plot and goofy action scenes. A lot of things are staged to fit in perfectly with some later action (such as an ejector seat. Watch any other spy thriller and try to imagine when that would come in handy). James doesn't have to use his smarts as the writers wriggle him out of every dilemma. So okay entertainment and amusing in its silliness, but ultimately a bit shallow.

I can see why this was the first true blockbuster Bond film. Goldfinger is THE classic villain and Oddjob is a classic henchman. Memorable backdrops of Miami, London, Geneva and Kentucky, this film drops you right into the 60s and doesn’t let go.
