Audience Member It's a biography of Sam Houston , Sam Elliot carries the movie. (Not that good) Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review don s This is the extremely overlong story of Sam Houston and what he meant to the Republic of Texas. Elliott is sturdy as Houston, overplaying the machismo a bit. The story develops slowly, with a strange streak of cowardice running through it, but it held my interest enough to get a passing grade. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member A biography of Sam Houston, the general who captured Santa Anna. whose army destroyed the Alamo. Dull in places, acting varied, I wanted to see the movie because I have family who fought for the independence of Texas. It badly stretched the truth especially at the end. Not one to see a second time. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/15/23 Full Review Audience Member Early Sam Elliott. Basically a history lesson movie.
