Good Manners adroitly juggles disparate tonal shifts while taking a uniquely smart and sensitive look at female relationships.

The filmmakers have a grand habit of stealing from others and making it their own. Go to Full Review

A moving and unexpected love story, a werewolf film with inescapable political bite, and - perhaps most of all - one of the most vivid, memorable and original treatments of the trials, challenges and joys of motherhood itself. Go to Full Review

Good Manners isn’t without its share of redeeming factors, to be sure, but Dutra and Rojas are simply hamstrung by their chosen medium, which pits an overabundance of ideas to a constricting runtime. Go to Full Review

If you adjust your expectations (and patience) accordingly, this is an intriguing tale that's a well-acted, unpredictable mix of genre content and social commentary. Go to Full Review

All and all, Good Manners is a flawed narrative with a good heart and powerful message at its core. Good, not great, though the effort put forth by the creatives shows. Go to Full Review

See more Gabriel T @GabrielFagundes Jul 9 It's absolutely incredible. The movie isn't perfect but it still extremely good. "Good manners" isn't realistic, however it adds to its magical appeal. Everything choice here leads to a fairytale atmosphere without giving up the horror and the gore. I noticed a big influence of "Black Sabbath" in it See more 01/28/2022 A lesbian and proto-feminist reformulation of the wolf stories that shines for its admirable stylistic construction, and for its maternal and loving look at a story that, otherwise, would have been a faithful servant of the horror genre and that, instead, is presented like a sweet, well-acted film about resistance and the unexpected bonds that are born from inexorable circumstances. However this musical/comedy/drama/horror/thriller.... you get the idea comes out of the blender and isn't bad. It works and despite some overstretched scenes never takes itself serious. The acting may make you cringe, but overall this is really well made and fun. That 2-hour plus run time may be intimidating, but it's never predictable. Final Score: 7.1/10 See more nefasto r @Nefasto 09/16/2019 I am not sure the running time is entirely justify, but the film is sweet even in its dark moments, and this fairy tale of present days, is a bit romantic and a bit "tale from the crypt-y". It also illustrate the difficulties of adoption. :D See more Read all reviews
