Audience Member The mysterious presentation of the plot and the gradual unraveling make it a brilliant movie. Flashback scenes were a bit hard to understand instantly but made the audience think a lot. Every part of the story coming together at the end is also very masterful. However, the ghost part kind of spoiled it for me and it is the only reason I didn't give it a five star rating. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/29/23 Full Review Audience Member Strong female leads; historical (Joseon court life) and enjoyable. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I don't like asian movies that much, but all in all I gave this one a try. After watchin' it on television I had to buy it on DVD. That is a proof I enjoy the movie. Don't expect a historian movie, it's like a mystery-crime. I would compare it to "The Name of the Rose" with some horror elements. Well made and with great costumes. I would say my all-time favourite korean movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Compelling story, especially with its setting. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Korean movie makers seemingly have gotten very good at showing uncomfortable and graphic visuals on the screen. Even in a murder mystery set in olden times in a castle⦠it shows up many times here. I flinched and squirmed at least four times. All said, an interesting and well-done film, but the pace was slowish for no discernible reason (and I like dramas that are allowed to develop!). And the graphic nature really added nothing. I liked it, but not that much. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Read all reviews
