A serviceable biopic centering on Gregorio del Pilar, who fought United States forces during the Philippine-American War. Go to Full Review

The battles and the production values save an imbalanced film that will probably appeal to fans of epic war movies, but the comparison with its predecessor definitely leaves this one on the losing side. Go to Full Review

...it's painfully cliché. Del Pilar is portrayed as a heroic, righteous figure who's admired by almost everyone, especially attractive single women. Go to Full Review

Archer F Oct 8 This History Philippine Movie Are Very Good, oh Yeah, They Release On Dolby Cinema, See more R C @originalsalt 07/04/2023 Some scenes could have been cut, even with the good performances. For me, 2 hr 27 min movie is too long, even in the epic war movie genre. For those who don't the history of the Philippines-American war, it may feel slow and it takes a while to get to the battle with the Americanos. I recommend viewers to research the history and biography of Goyo to get a better understanding of the relationships and plot. I applaud the effort and it's worth a watch simply because it's hard to find quality epic war movies set in the Philippines. The first film Heneral Luna was more concise and enrapturing so watch that one first! See more 03/14/2021 Ph should keep on making movies like these. See more 03/29/2019 Too long, too much characters and too boring for me to care. It felt flat in a series of a scenes that should have been heroic or emotional. The film could have been accomplished in less than two hours but of course the filmmakers felt the need to inject people from the previous films and characters that obviously are going to star in the next installment. As a result, the film felt like one of those boring history books that students are forced to read in high school. See more 02/07/2019 interesting part of history most people dont learn too much about some acting is good, some acting could be better good color grading pacing can be slow at times dialogue wasnt very strong, had to rely on music to covey emotions only worth the watch if you want to learn about filipino-american history See more 10/25/2018 saw it, was lifted out of the mondane, love to see it again. historical, scenery, powerful romance, etc. she didn't care about him having fame in the clouds, she just wanted to hold him.
