Cute family fun. Danny Trejo usually plays the bad guy in action film. So it is very funny to see him in this. And it's consistent because he just got out of prison and ends up moving in with his daughter and son in law, and running a daycare place in their house. A good rental, that you can watch with the whole family. Good clean fun. But a little edgy because these older dudes just got out of prison, and they are going straight.
Some great casting of loveable characters who you've seen on TV. Like George Wendt from cheers, Hal Linden from Barney Miller. Barry Bostwick, James and Julia Duffy. The lead is Reno Wilson as the loveable son in law, and novelist who loves his family but would like a little peace around the house. Reno could be the next Kevin Hart.
This is written by Robbie Fox and David Steinberg. David writes very intelligent comedy. He was a big time lawyer before he went into writing comedy for shows like the Simpsons. You see that in his writing, a guy who lived a respectable mainstream life and gets pulled into comedic situations.
Robbie Fox, the other writer, also is someone who finds comedy in odd places. He wrote "So I married an axe murderer" where Mike Myers plays the lead (after Waynes World, before Austin Powers), he think that his sweet fiance might be an axe murderer. It's funny in a goofy light hearted way.
Daddy Day Care is a good rental for light hearted laughs.

It's totally family apropriate - one you can watch with a peace of mind knowing you don't need to fast forward any scenes. Respect the positive message ï¿ 1/2'Â?

Should be played as breezily as possible, trying to score laughs, not stopping the film cold to supply uncomfortable reminders of the hellscape that arrives as one approaches their golden years.
