Karl N Always loved Richard Pryor and Cleavon Little. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/13/23 Full Review Michael W This racing movie was pretty good. Richard Pryor, Beau Bridges, Pam Grier, and the rest of the cast did a pretty good job in this movie. This true story about the life of the first African American stock car driver Wendell Scott was dramatic, inspirational, and entertaining. It's about doing something that you've always wanted to do and not letting anyone get the best of you. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's worth watching. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/22/23 Full Review Audience Member For Richard Pryor fans, this biopic of the first African-American Nascar winner is not bad. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/19/23 Full Review Audience Member good bio-pic about USA's first black stock car driver Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Based on the first African American NASCAR driver, Wendell Scott. Could have been better as the movie glossed over too much of the racial issues he faced, probably because the producers couldn't address them in a real way at the time. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/13/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic. One of my favorite Richard Pryor films. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

David Elliott Chicago Daily News Pryor's rabbit-faced anxiety does not really get the chance it needs here -- he's a natural loony -- but his performance is very humanly attractive. Oct 3, 2023 Full Review Frederick I. Douglas Baltimore Afro-American The most fascinating aspect of the movie is that it shows that Richard Pryor and Pam Grier have considerable abilities in their profession, something that has not always come out in their previous movies.
