Yes, Bollywood is capable of doing this. Whattay plot. Yes, Premise is small. But, the thing writer/director wanted to convey is easily conveyed. Who on earth can think Butterfly as a metaphor!? Superb. Amir Bashir as loving, patient husband is brilliant. Sandhya Mridual plays a nagging, love hungry wife. And how? Koel Puri has got much to do. But she has done her job well. The Shibani Kashyap song could have been avoided. Little pacy story and this film was a benchmark. The narrator that keeps on coming in and interrupting the flow gets really annoying. It would be better to watch this as a play than a film. Is it for real? “ A tagline like that, I had totally expected a somewhat corny ride, but went ahead and picked out the DVD. don't get to watch hindi arthouse as oft afterall. So? Is the Great Indian Butterfly for real? … The answer was clichéd and expected alright, but I hadn't wanted anything mentally taxing so this fitted the bill. Dun hate it; it didn’t offer nothing new that’s all. The ‘narrator’ was kinda irritating though, with the philosophical-like bullshit he was spewing. And the soundtrack was quite bad.
