Cask and Crow P This is the story we should have seen on the big screen. Hands down the most faithful Green lantern story I've seen yet. I highly recommend watching Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/24 Full Review Michael C Yet another example of how DC does better in animation that in its live action films. "Green Lantern: First Flight" does a very good job of showing us how Hal Jordan became Abin Sur's successor in The Green Lantern Corp. The voice cast is nothing short of terrific. "Law and Order: SVU" veteran Christopher Meloni does a terrific job as the voice of Hal Jordan. Veteran actor Victor Garber is excellent as the voice of Sinestro. The late Malachi Thorne and the late David Lander are very good as well in supporting roles as Guardian Ranakar and Ch'p respectively. Their final acting roles. Michael Madsen is great as the voice of Kilowog. The movie is also very well animated. As you are well aware, you need some substance to go with that style and the writers provide that well with a good script with a well paced and engaging story. After multipole viewings, the movie still holds up. If you have not seen "Green Lantern: First Flight" yet, I highly recommend you do. Enjoy poozer! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/27/23 Full Review matthias s "Green Lantern: First Flight" offers a decent introduction to the Green Lantern Corps and its members, but falls short in terms of character development and animation quality. While the action-packed plot provides some thrills, the characters are not fleshed out enough to truly connect with the audience.Additionally, the animation quality is not up to par with other contemporary animated films. Despite these drawbacks, die-hard Green Lantern fans will still find something to enjoy in this adaptation of the classic comic book. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 11/09/23 Full Review Chris M With all the life in the universe and alien criminals. The Guardians of the nerve to be racists against humans. The other Lanterns can be just as dickish to Hal too. Which seems odd for a culture that seems to have diverse species of lanterns. Plus, the rings have a fail safe to prevent killing. But it's good, not great. The acting, cast and the animation are very good. Deserves better than the Rotten Tomatoes score. Plus it's way better than the blockbuster movie that came out two years later. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/15/23 Full Review Liam D It has the usual quality of an DC animated movie but it's an okay but forgettable retelling of the origin story Rated 3 out of 5 stars 12/01/22 Full Review Robert L Yeah, this movie kicks ass Rated 5 out of 5 stars 10/19/22 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Green Lantern: First Flight does more in a little over an hour than most live-action comic-book adaptations could do with bloated running times and million-dollar salaries. Rated: 3/4 Sep 4, 2023 Full Review Ryan Cracknell Movie Views More interested in the villain than the hero, First Flight is a bland look at one of the sides of the DC universe that's normally much more interesting. Aug 15, 2009 Full Review Peter Canavese Groucho Reviews A literally colorful action-adventure plot...[but] fails to replicate the success of February's Wonder Woman at making its leading character not just kick-ass but fascinating. [Blu-ray] Rated: 3/4 Aug 12, 2009 Full Review Mike McGranaghan Aisle Seat Superhero tales are best when they strive for some complexity; this one has an engrossing plot and some solid character development that grown-ups can appreciate. Rated: 3/4 Jul 29, 2009 Full Review James O'Ehley Sci-Fi Movie Page File under disappointing, but not outright bad . . . Jul 22, 2009 Full Review John J. Puccio Movie Metropolis The story's action and adventure move along at the pace you'd expect from a direct-to-video animation. Rated: 5/10 Jul 19, 2009 Full Review Read all reviews
