Ard Vijn ScreenAnarchy It's not just that the story has problems, the execution of the dramatic moments isn't exactly stellar either. Jan 9, 2020 Full Review Uriel Barco Daily Trend (Mexico) Simply and simply, one of the worst movies of the year. Stay home and do a Marvel marathon instead. Rated: 2/5 Nov 3, 2017 Full Review Ian White Starburst There's ... a strange kind of charm to it, a sort of admirable 'little engine that could' determination to take Marvel on at their own game. Rated: 7/10 Sep 18, 2017 Full Review Adrián Ruiz Excelsior (MX) The film as a whole doesn't have any supernatural abilities, nor anything that makes it unique and unforgettable. Jeffrey P B Gesh, I don't know what's wrong with people. Some are complaining about dubed in acting. Yes, dubed in acting. Lol Shows you the level of intelligence of those commenting. It's like any super hero movie, ful of jargon, scientific explanations, super suits, and general "we got to save the day, not much chance, but amazingly wel pull it out in the end" drama. No different from any Marvel of DC plot. I enjoyed it, as should you. Well done. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/01/23 Full Review leonardo b B-movie from Russia with steroids and pretty girls, weirdo, nahive but very funny, and with some smart ideas. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 11/09/22 Full Review Audience Member With bad special effects, very cheesy dialogue, acting whose complete sincerity calls further attention to how silly the whole thing is, action sequences that I can charitably say are more professionally handled than The Amazing Bulk in a "damned by faint praise" sort-of way and uninteresting characters, this Russian superhero movie made to ride off of the MCU's coattails might be a misfire but it's an incredibly entertaining one. Certainly the worst superhero movie of 2017 but the fact that it is so bad, it's good do make it more enjoyable in its constant failed attempts to be badass. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member Jumping right into this one, the plot had promise. That only made the movie worse, because the follow-through was awful at every point in the story. It seemed like events intentionally took turns to avoid doing anything particularly enjoyable to watch. The character designs were clichés, and every joke felt like low hanging fruit. If this movie didn't take itself so seriously, I'd guess it was a parody of Guardians of the Galaxy. The audio in this movie is awful as well. I'm not just talking about the score, which was awful. I'm referring to the way the sound is presented. It was the sound itself throughout the movie that was grating on my ears. I'd compare it to listening to someone miss a note on the piano, only you don't get the chance to get back to enjoying the music, because it keeps happening. This movie wouldn't be worth watching if it were free. There was a lot of potential that just wasn't met. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/28/23 Full Review Audience Member About 45 minutes in and already looking like crap. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/11/23 Full Review Audience Member I'm not gonna talk about its bad animation, since this was made on a ₹32 crore budget. So we can consider they couldn't help it. Also, I'm not gonna talk about the cheesy dialogues since I saw it in Hindi so I don't know how the actual dialogues were (the English one came on Play Movies AFTER I purchased the Hindi one). I would judge it on other parameters. 1. The concept = bad. It's the typical cliched concept - a bad guy who wants to destroy the world an is using all the space satellites as his weapons, so an Army Intelligence assembles a bunch of superheroes to stop him. That's basically The Avengers in Superman's universe. 2. The ideas = good. Keep in mind this is a completely original concept. It was a low budget movie, so they could've easily avoided showing a bear firing gatling guns from its back, or the way Khan fought (he was pretty badass). But they chose to show it all. 3. Acting = bad. Their expressions were all wrong. They would speak shocking things as if it's completely normal and vice versa. They would even give awkward expressions occasionally (like in the end where Larina says she found the remaining superheroes too). The camera angles were mostly wrong. 4. Posters = good. I actually thought it was a DC/Marvel level movie when I saw its posters and the trailer which showed Khan fighting those mafia dudes. That was actually the very reason why I even watched it. 5. The point behind making this = okay. Apparently, this was released on Fatherland Day, and highlights how the Army Intelligence named Patriot uses Soviet superheroes to save the day. So if you're a citizen of a Soviet country, you will feel immense patriotism. But if you're not, you'll not. Conclusion: It's your wish to watch this movie, just don't keep any hopes from it. It has a pretty bad animation, acting, camera angles and concept. The villain is also pretty ugly. Basically a superhero movie not made from a first world country. If you're curious (like how I was from the poster and trailer), go ahead. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Read all reviews
