Renata Adler New York Times It is also poor reporting - it simply does not tell us anything that we did not know already, and what it does tell - in fuzzy interviews about, for example, the Arab refugee problem - it tells unclearly. Everything about it is off. Jan 9, 2018 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member As good an introduction to vintage Bollywood as any - a gem that was way ahead of its time. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Audience Member The main problem with this film is that is labours slowly towards its more interesting conclusion. For the most part of the film it feels like an outdated romance. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member Rated as one of Hindi cinemas best movie..what starts off as a normal story goes onto deliver a great message..with a good story and very good performances ...without too much of the usual melodrama but with some of the best songs ever...a superb movie you can watch many a time Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I really enjoyed this "old school" Bollywood film. While it seems to be a meandering romance--entertaining but not particularly memorable--an unexpected turn results in one of the most profound and well-executed depictions of spirituality and man's relation to The Divine that I have yet seen depicted on film. Dev Anand gives a remarkable performance which captures the incredible series of transformations of Raju the Guide along his unforgettable journey. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 01/20/23 Full Review Audience Member good for the songs and the picturisation, not faithful to the novel in terms of portraying the characters. maybe because devanad produced it, he had to make himself a bigger hero :) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Beautiful story, songs and acting. Great movie. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Read all reviews
