In remote Mali, Guimba (Fabola Issa Traoré) mercilessly rules his people and spoils his son, the dwarf Janguine (Lamine Diallo). He arranges for Janguine to marry the most beautiful woman in the village, Kani (Mouneissa Maiga), but the spoiled dwarf has eyes for Kani's mother, Meya (Helene Diarra). Guimba banishes her husband so that his son can have her, and Guimba takes Kani as his own wife. The villagers are incensed, but Guimba is a sorcerer, and only another sorcerer can defeat him.
