Audience Member James Arness also known as Matt Dillon was really good in this one. Yes, I recommend it, James Welch, Henderson., Arkansas February 8, 2023. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/09/23 Full Review Audience Member Hoped for more. Found the acting laughable in places and the movie plodding. Fun to see Angie Dickinson in this early role. Other than that, Slow pace and bad acting = don't bother. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/01/23 Full Review Audience Member Fantastic western from the brains behind the Ranown cycle. Angie Dickinson steals the show, as always, but none of the acting disappoints. Plot is great, dialogue is passable, could have been a classic but feels a little thrown together. Absolutely worth seeing, however, for the incredibly tense direction throughout the middle half. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/16/23 Full Review Audience Member James Arness is an outlaw who is wounded and left behind by his partners and girlfriend following a bank holdup. Years later, after being released from prison, he seeks his revenge. It's a pretty by-the-numbers western and lacks any real originality, something of a hallmark of director Andrew V. McLaglen, making his directorial debut with this picture. However, you do get to see Angie Dickinson in an early film appearance, along with western stalwart Harry Carey Jr. as a deputy, which makes it a little bit better than your average episode of "Gunsmoke." Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Mostly energetic but seems long even at 74min. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/26/23 Full Review Audience Member Average western of note only as Angie's first big featured role. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Read all reviews
