Incredibly bad green screen and (cough) effects. Chronic choreography, some random weird subtitles, plot holes, and unnecessary gimmicks. More wooden than a forest in Oregon but still has a script that thin it would be useless as toilet paper. How the hell it has a rating over 50% is beyond me. Cinematography not too shabby. But it feels short on everything. Luke Hemsworth should get a new agent or something, just steer clear of stuff like this, I am sure he is capable of much more. Its quick departure from cinemas hinted at its potential shortcomings, prompting me to wait for its streaming release to give it a shot. Once it became available on Tubi, I decided to finally watch it and see what unfolded in this action flick. Unfortunately, the direction was poorly executed, filled with excessive back-and-forth exchanges that left the film heavy on dialogue but lacking in both story and action. When an action film boasts an enticing poster that sparks intrigue and promises a gripping narrative, it’s disheartening when it ultimately fails to deliver, as this one did. The plot felt lifeless, and it seemed like nothing substantial occurred throughout the film. In the end, I found "Gunner" to be underwhelming and disappointing, and I cannot recommend it.
