Mo Zaltzman is a beloved Hasidic rabbi in a dusty desert town. When his congregation is violently attacked, police quickly arrest a young white nationalist who threatened them in the past, but Rabbi Mo doesn't believe the troubled teen is a killer. Since no one else will investigate, Rabbi Mo becomes the detective. As the bodies pile up, he must learn how to use a gun to battle the real enemy. At the heart of the film is the unexpected bond between the rabbi and the anti-Semite, as well as Mo's looming fear that he won't pull the trigger if he has to... and that he will.

Scarily relevant about violence against Jews, yet also showcases how authorities leap on antisemitism for disturbing incidents when truths are more complex. Like clergy detectives on British TV, with more shooting, thrilling chase scene, diverse tunes.

Despite a few stumbles and some corny dialogue, Guns & Moses is an absorbing murder mystery with a rabbi becoming an amateur detective in a case involving antisemitism and environmental concerns. The investigation scenes are better than the action scenes.

A bit slow at times. Either the theater had bad sound or your characters needed a crisper speaking voice. I liked the ending where they stood up and fired the guns! Thank God it showed our strengths. I'm sick and tired of men in black, shuffling their feet in movies. And I was surprised at the ending! I didn't think the big buy was in on it. Alright!

Synopsis
