Test T I watched this on DVD recently. It's a really convoluted tale, which is supposed to be funny, and once I'd adjusted to it's comedic style it occasionally was. There are plenty of interesting characters, the acting was ok and the locations are mostly well lit. The problem for me was that the plot is far too complicated. It's loaded with narrative, and at the end there's a long explanation of the entire film, but even after all that I'm left confused. It's seems to me that John Smith spends most of the movie trying to solve a mystery he himself had contrived and was fully aware of! It also keeps making references to racism, which I found irritating and tiresome. There are some cool action scenes though, and I found the Blond Girl character especially enjoyable to watch. Recommended with reservations. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 12/07/23 Full Review Shioka O This is a bad B film, better avoid or play as noise. Interestingly, I think this is the fourth collaboration of Slater and Oldman. and undoubtedly the worst. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member I Amit I wasn’t bored at all during this movie. I was highly entertained and the movie does feature a lot of great stars. But the movie tries so hard to be cool and over the top. Literally everything in the movie is explained to the viewer. Characters run around another character seem to pop up at the perfect time. It’s a fun watch but don’t expect a good movie and I kind of feel as they made it up as they went along. Mark Olsen Los Angeles Times A movie first and foremost about other movies, a derivative of derivatives, "Guns, Girls and Gambling" is like a losing hand at cards: It could have been a winner, but just isn't. Rated: 2/5 Dec 14, 2012 Full Review Paul Chambers Movie Chambers Nothing witty about this blood-soaked action flick. But for fans of the genre, it might be a decent time-passer, providing you don't mind "stupid." Most of the jokes miss the target. Rated: C- Jan 16, 2013 Full Review Kevin Carr 7M Pictures For a movie in which you hope to see plenty of girls and guns, you really only get the guns... of the metal kind, that is.
