Gunslingers is not the finest hour for any actor involved, though they run the gamut from competency to simply being too modern in look and manner to convince in a period setting that already feels like some sort of western cosplay weekend. Go to Full Review

Only Cage’s most diehard cultists will want to go to bat for this performance, and they could easily struggle to accentuate the positive. Go to Full Review

A bargain-brand Western that boasts a few middle-aged stars and a collection of clichés that largely predate the talkie. Go to Full Review

A cheaply made western that paid for Nicolas Cage to play second fiddle to Stephen Dorff of all people, who is doing something with his voice here that makes me concerned for his health. This film had no thought put into it, so I’m just trading in kind. Go to Full Review

Too often feels like a reenactment the likes of which you'd find at a "Western" tourist attraction. The dialogue is cliche, the action beats feel rote and repetitive, and the costumes all scream "Rentals should be kept clean and are due back by 6pm!" Go to Full Review

A film so cobbled together it seems like it was churned out under duress. Go to Full Review

Apr 15 Lot’s of action really really awesome See more julian h @julsown 2d This movie should be under horror. Rated horrible. First of all, they tried to give it an old black and white cowboy movie feel by integrating colors and black and white. Gross. The film looked more like a murder documentary on unsolved mysteries. Why did they ruin good actors? Nicolas Cage got free money on this. This is the worst acting you will ever watch from him. Did he not want to do this film but was forced by his agent? So sad to see. Very cringe acting as well! Even Heather Gram acted better in the hangover. Did the writers/directors/producers have ADHD? What was with the negotiations on and off and on and off. Fired! None of you should be part of a production again. This movie was so cringe to watch. Whoever sold this to Netflix good job on you. What a waste of time and to be honest a disgrace to actors. Please don't ever make an ugly ass movie like this again. Not even a B rated movie. More like Z rated! I dont review movies. But this was motivating! See more Richard K @Richard0101 Jan 9 This is the 1st movie I’ve ever reviewed, but it was so bad, my conscience wouldn’t allow me to not post. The acting was horrible all around. Nicolas Cage’s character made me cringe with 2nd hand embarrassment every time he opened his mouth. The writers/producers/director should never get anyone near another movie production. I honestly think it was the worst movie I’ve ever seen. I’m actually mad at myself that I watched the full movie. See more Shawn S @SSudzy Jan 2 I consider myself a connoisseur of low budget cheesy westerns. I appreciate them more often than not because they capture the spirit of old Spaghetti Westerns better than most big budget films. Throw in Nic Cage, and I was sold that I could enjoy this film. Never have I been so wrong. I can normally excuse the poor acting, as with most low budget movies, but no one in this entire film seems even mildly convinced they are in a western, or that they are even an actor. Their lines and actions don’t help them. The script feels like it was written on set on the fly. I had better daydreams after watching young guns when I was 8. None of the actions of the antagonist make any sense at all. Things happen in this movie just so it can prolong itself enough to add another bad gunfight, and light one more person on fire. Oh and then suddenly it rains To top it all off the lighting is terrible and confused, and what in Gods name is Nic Cages accent? So bad it’s comical, but only slightly. 0.1/10 See more Aaron H @tiptaperson Dec 27 Pretty cheesy overall. Acting is weak and storyline struggles to say the least. Nick Cage should have sat this one out, character was painful to watch. I would not recommend this to anyone I like😎 See more Jake R @jroth Dec 26 At first glance this might look like a lackluster Western. Yet, this movie requires you don't take it seriously and consider it as a spoof Western with over emphasized stereotypes that do serve to make this a lighthearted journey into the lives of numerous bandits. The theme of this movie as well as Nic Cage's performance come together to make an entertaining friction of egos. If you can see this movie for what it is trying to be rather than what you might expect it to be you'll likely enjoy it as well. See more Read all reviews
