Richard Brody New Yorker The poignant yet acerbic tale of missed connections and cynical maneuvers is a modernist revision of classic melodrama; its hands-on intimacy and local specificity belie a whirlwind complexity. Apr 4, 2022 Full Review Panos Kotzathanasis HanCinema What sets his film apart from the plethora of similar ones is that his characters are eccentric, very frequently drunk, not sure at all of what they want from their lives, although willing to go to extremes to achieve it, and liars. Mar 4, 2019 Full Review Derek Smith Tiny Mix Tapes Hahaha continues down this path with, as the title clearly suggests, an extremely funny, yet still sobering bend. Oct 4, 2017 Full Review Blake Griffin We Got This Covered The film fails to reach its lofty ambitions and is really not much beyond ordinary movie orthodoxies. Rated: 5/10 Nov 11, 2013 Full Review Dennis Schwartz Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews A quirky indie film on the meaning of life and the travails of finding romance in the modern world, especially when not sober. Rated: C+ Jan 22, 2013 Full Review Fernando F. Croce House Next Door Easily Hong's funniest, but not deepest, effort. May 13, 2011 Full Review Read all reviews

Audience Member Korean kind of La Nouvelle Vague. Detouring, fragmented & long dragging. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 02/04/23 Full Review Audience Member Ambitious considering its very wordy nature and almost two hours running length. It becomes dull and laborious in places. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Audience Member I've been exploring Korean cinema as of late so I was really looking forward to this one. Two friends meet for drinks and catch up on their love lives. It's well-made and well-acted and there are a few amusing, really good moments but all in all, it's mediocre. The rather unusual structure of the film makes it a bit more interesting but I found the characters alternately irritating and dull so it was a bit of a chore to sit through. It reminds me of those subgenre of American indie dramedy films I already find annoying. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/17/23 Full Review Audience Member 3ra. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member I had only seen "Woman is the Future of Man" by Hong Sang-soo, a very cynical film about the impossibility of love and stable relationships in a metropolis. In "Ha ha ha" the underlying message is the same, but the location (a sunny seaside town) and the characters (thirty somethings without a stable situation) are very different from those in "Woman is the Future of Man". The major difference, however, was the _tone_ of the film: instead of sad sex scenes most of the action consisted in bantering and flirting, with many funny scenes, almost reminiscent of Marivaudage. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member Human Relationships, I didn't have any expectations, in fact I went to the theater without knowing what I was going to see. It leaved me with a warm feeling, and that was enough Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/20/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
