Audience Member One of the better films to come out of Israel during the eighties. The aftermath of the holocaust and the pains of the foundation of the state of Israel form the backdrop to the personal journey of a young girl searching for family and a well rounded life. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member nice emotional movie Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member A solid film with great acting, but doesn't really deserve the status of a unaging classic. With limited references to the holocaust, which made 'Under the Domim Tree' both more powerful and meaningful, it's much a much simpler story which could be placed almost anytime, anywhere. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 01/30/23 Full Review Audience Member There seems to be a trend of mother-daughter dramas in Israeli cinema. Saw this with poor sound (uneven mix) which made the hysterics of the mother more than unpleasant. But overall I liked it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Read all reviews
