Audience Member I read nothing but bad reviews about Hangfire on another site.In my opinion, I think it was a pretty good movie.It had a couple laugh out loud parts where they messed up & you knew it but they didn't want you to know it.The storyline was alright & kept my interest till the very end.If you got some time to spare, Hangfire is a movie that's worth taking a look at Rated 2.5/5 Stars •  Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review Audience Member ★ (out of four) Lousy action thriller with few redeeming qualities. Amateurish direction and stiff performnces are probably the best things I can say about it. Much of it is downright offensive. During a prison evcuation, a group of inmates break lose, taking hostages. They head towards Mexico, but decide to take over a small New Mexico town instead. The town becomes a battleground with the sheriff (Brad Davis) trying to maintain control. It's too bad to see Davis in this film. He was so good in "Midnight Express" from 1978 and also appeared in the Oscar winning "Chariots of Fire". What a waste.
