A cheapo Seven knock-off that one would be tempted to suggest is beneath the talents of everyone involved, but they knew what they were getting into when they read it. Go to Full Review

In its own cheesy and entertaining way, Hangman kept me guessing throughout. Go to Full Review

With a dirge-like pace that provides ample opportunity to figure it all out well ahead of the protagonists, you keep wishing somebody would buy a vowel to hurry things along. Go to Full Review

Watch in the right frame of mind and "Hangman" is occasionally diverting; you may well enjoy spotting the cliches and tropes. But the story is hackneyed and the final twist one that will make you sigh rather than scream. Go to Full Review

...the script...gives these actors very little to work with and makes this film laughably cheesy and cliched at times. Go to Full Review

Daniel S Dec 25 If you’re craving a mystery-thriller that actually delivers this one’s a hidden gem you don’t want to sleep on Forget the haters some folks are out here tossing bad reviews for no reason but seriously this film nails the genre vibes. It’s got that slow-burn who-dunnit energy that keeps you guessing without drowning in over-the-top action Al Pacino and Chris Ludacris Urban? Straight fire. Both bring serious gravitas and charm, making every scene they’re in a treat don’t let the negative nelly’s fool you. Sure, there are a couple head-scratching moments (looking at you, train-car stunt), but honestly, that’s classic movie silliness and doesn’t kill the vibe. It’s not a Zodiac-level masterpiece, but it’s gripping enough to pull you in keep you on edge, and even make you want a sequel For fans of mystery, action, and thrillers that aren’t weighed down by lame romances or dumb comedy this one hits all the right notes. Definitely worth a watch and maybe a second run-through for good measure See more Hillary C May 6 I am not a critic. I don't like reading reviews from audiences who pretend that they are critics, by complaining about things that most of us wouldn't even recognize. But, with that said, this script is so bad that even the most casual viewer couldn't help but notice. Al Pacino gives a shockingly bad performance, and with such terrible writing, it makes it especially cringe worthy. It felt like they tried too hard to connect everyone to the killer and that made it even more absurd. And don't get me started with the ending scene with the killer. They had to explain the entire plot by literally telling the audience what was going on. It felt like a very long Law and Order episode. A bad one at that. See more T O Apr 29 This movie was a Master Acting class. Class led by Al Pacino. As usual Al chewed the scenery showing how a scene is done by the top actors, him. All I could see in the movie was Al doing his choices for a scene to instruct those in the movie and those would be actors watching this acting excersize movie. Class should be renamed "Choices Not to Do" in film acting. See more Jim M Apr 17 Wow - What was Pacino THINKING when he agreed to get onboard this train wreck of a movie? Like an extended version of a crappy CSI:Miami episode with one of the greatest actors ever that seemed like he just phoned in his performance. Don't waste your time with this stinker. See more El H 05/17/2024 Take every cliche you have ever seen in every detective/cop film, mix in a really bad story and some terrible overacting and top it off with a ridiculous ending and you have just wasted over 2 hours of your life... Did someone actually read this script and approve a multi-million dollar budget to get this movie made (I assume that much money, but judging by the quality, maybe not)? Insane... See more Doktor D 05/14/2024 Der Versuch, mehreren gutbesetzten Charaktären in nur 130min Tiefgang zu verleihen, misslingt grandios. Der Frust über das schlechte Drehbuch wird jedoch durch den Ärger über die deutsche Synchronisation überlagert. See more Read all reviews
