Watch in the right frame of mind and "Hangman" is occasionally diverting; you may well enjoy spotting the cliches and tropes. But the story is hackneyed and the final twist one that will make you sigh rather than scream.

Take every cliche you have ever seen in every detective/cop film, mix in a really bad story and some terrible overacting and top it off with a ridiculous ending and you have just wasted over 2 hours of your life... Did someone actually read this script and approve a multi-million dollar budget to get this movie made (I assume that much money, but judging by the quality, maybe not)? Insane...
