The extravaganza works through good cheer and the sheer force of Waddinghamness, and at 45 minutes it mercifully doesn’t outstay its welcome... though, should be warned: it really is as cheesy as a baked stilton soufflé.

There is rarely a Christmas music special i did not like but this was just eh for me. It has everyone's favorites but it is terribly lacking singing talent. My favorite, O Holy Night was part of selection but Waddingham is not a soprano and so cannot reach that note and so not really the same. Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas usually makes me emotional but here it's not sung with conviction and worst, had an upbeat melody to it which ruined the song. The set looks amazing, though. Just need real singers.
