In the Wild West, vicious but bumbling bandit brothers Emmett (Ernest Borgnine), Frank (Jack Elam) and Rufus Clemens (Strother Martin) botch a heist, and in anger they rape local woman Hannie Caulder (Raquel Welch), murder her spouse and destroy her home. Set on retribution, Hannie seeks out bounty hunter Thomas Luther Price (Robert Culp), who helps her learn to shoot -- a skill she that she'll need as she attempts to track down and take out the merciless Clemens brothers.

The violence is gory, splattery and very 1970s, and there’s a misstep sequence — part comedy, part sleaze... But otherwise this is an important, even definitive, entry in the canon of kick-ass female avenger flicks.

One of my favorite movies. Yes, it's a bit schlocky, but the music is beautiful, so is Ms. Welch and Robert Culp's performance as Thomas Luther Price is one of his best.

A good western, typical revenge plot, still unusual at the same time, but with ups and downs. Very good interaction between Raquel Welch and Robert Culp, while the three crooked brothers, portrayed by Ernest Borgnine, Jack Elam and Strother Martin are far above limit with over acting. Unnecessary for such a experienced cast. Could have been quite a classic, but instead becomes a half breed comedy, which it's not.
