O filme é muito bem sucedido no que ele se propõe, causando estranheza, confusão e muitas vezes desconforto, com cortes rápidos e sobrepostos, cenas mais abstratas e interpretativas, além de combates violentos e viscerais. The biggest fault of this may have been that the biggest plot device, the events in the opening act that linger throughout, were really unnecessary as the story could have progressed and ended in the exact same manner without it.
