Audience Member A decent, if unnecessary follow-up. Plays with some interesting ideas and I love all the metaphysical mumbo jumbo it deals in. But that ending man... almost ruins the whole thing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 06/08/19 Full Review Audience Member Way too much gimmickry, way too much narration, it's boring, even awful, a very lazy sequel. (Why didn't they just hire Bif Naked, or Avril Lavigne?! And leave out George fucking Stumble-opolis! Was Bruce McDonald "possessed" by the "spirit" of Guy Maddin?) This film "atones" for the original Hard Core Logo like a bad shit "atones" for a good meal. Watch Sympathy for the Devil, which is insightful, and demystifying, instead. Or Phantom of the Paradise! Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 01/24/23 Full Review Audience Member HarCore Logo 2 Review By: Fat Mike After the tragic ending in 1996 with HardCore Logo front man Joe Dick (Hugh Dillon ) death now15 years latter Filmmaker Bruce McDonald career has gone into a tailspin. Till Care Failure, the manic, drug-fueled lead singer with the punk band Die Mannequin, shows up and she's convinced she's been possessed by the spirit of the late Hard Core Logo frontman Joe Dick. Now Bruce McDonald is in for another ride of his life. I'm a huge fane of the first Hardcore logo film but HARDCORE LOGO 2 doesn't come close to it because it's a completely different style of movie. But it you try not to put the 2 movies in the same category HARDCORE LOGO 2 is a good watch. Care Failure a.k.a Caroline Kawa (from the real Toronto, Ontario, Canada punk band Die Mannequin) does a amazing job and the story is trippy but the ending was just lame way to end it. But all in all HardCore Logo isn't a bad watch but I'd only watch it once...cheers and more shot and salute 5 out of 10 If you never seen the first HARDCORE LOGO check it out For more reviews by Fat Mike check out https://www.facebook.com/pages/FAT-MIKEs-Movie-Reviews/323059367812333 & For news, reviews, and everything in between checkout THE PALE KIDS http://www.facebook.com/ThePaleKids Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/03/23 Full Review Audience Member I really like Die! Mannequin. I really disliked this movie. I have not been able to stumble across the first installment, which I still want to see, but this one wasn't great. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/14/23 Full Review Audience Member Pretty interesting approach McDonald uses in this follow up to the great indie cult hit. Doesn't live up to the original but still quite good. The movie is made by McDonald on sreen persona and how he presents himself. Very amusing. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/25/23 Full Review Audience Member A mediocre follow-up to one of the most important films of my youth. And that's the good news. The bad is that it features one of the worst endings in recent memory. Now go out and see it right now! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/11/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Liam Lacey Globe and Mail Rated: 2/4 Apr 20, 2012 Full Review Brian D. Johnson Maclean's Magazine A gonzo meditation on the search for emotional maturity. Riding a reckless, tangential narrative-a story intent on its own immolation-McDonald busts through comic post-modern posturing to find a core of disarming candour.
