Steve D The tennis is great the rest... Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 06/23/23 Full Review Audience Member lupino directs and still kicks ass Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member Ida Lupino directed movies were always tightly paced affairs and this one is no different. It moves with great economy through it's simple story of a woman's dreams for herself and her daughter and there corruption by avarice. She was fortunate to have the always excellent Claire Trevor in the lead, she is superior, the rest of the cast is merely adequate. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A tight, trim piece of filmmaking from Ida Lupino, who stages one of the coolest mounted-on-the-back-of-the-car shots I've ever seen in a flick from the 50's.
