William D Great movie. One of the best heist movies I have seen. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/22/23 Full Review Steve D Not even the strong cast can make this mess work. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review jelisije j An armored vehicle is robbed in a huge storm and the officer in charge must make sure to secure the payload from every threat that comes his way. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Michael S Beside the fact that this small town beset by biblical flooding is clearly just a movie set with a lot of water, this is actually a fun movie. Good cast, timeless tale of greed warping good people (like in A Simple Plan), witty script from Graham Yost (Speed, Justified), and some nice imagery throughout. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 10/11/22 Full Review Audience Member First off, Hard Rain is actually one of the most unique movies I've ever seen in my life. All of the action sequences in the flood are top notch, which makes it all the more sad that this movie wasn't better. It's just clear that all of the time and money went into pulling off the visuals and not the story. And it couldn't have been more obvious that this was Speed - Flood Edition. Fortunately Morgan Freeman's character makes up for the bland-ness of our two cookie-cutter leads. It's just a pity they completely botched the ending, particularly regarding his character. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/07/23 Full Review Audience Member Very tongue in cheek, but entertaining. A fun movie. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Mike Clark USA Today Hard Rain is pure water torture. Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 9, 2018 Full Review Todd McCarthy Variety Virtually nothing that takes place here is believable for a moment, beginning with the idea that all these people would expend all their energies trying to shoot one another when they are so imperiled to begin with. Jul 17, 2009 Full Review Owen Gleiberman Entertainment Weekly The flood rises, the night grows murky, and it becomes clear that the more water there is on screen, the less room there is for anything of interest to happen. Rated: C- Dec 17, 2008 Full Review Dan DiNicola The Daily Gazette (Schenectady, NY) The first candidate for one of the worst films of 1998. Rated: D- Jan 19, 2023 Full Review Mike Massie Gone With The Twins A sharply photographed, sparkling little thriller, full of appropriate slow-motion, exciting confrontations in unique settings, and a rip-roaring climax.
