In this action movie, tough biker Harley Davidson (Mickey Rourke) teams up with his cowboy-hat-wearing buddy known as the Marlboro Man (Don Johnson) to help save the bar of a mutual friend. Enacting a plan to rob an armored bank vehicle, the two are surprised to find that they've heisted a massive shipment of a new drug. Soon the corrupt bank head, Chance Wilder (Tom Sizemore), sends trained killers to take out Harley and Marlboro, with the duo fighting for their lives.

Jokes that fail to snap, crackle or pop are the order of the day in Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man, which often has the shambling nature of something like Every Which Way But Loose except with Mickey Rourke instead of an orangutan.

When Daniel Baldwin is your best actor things are looking dicey. Its a decent premise, but needed better writing, directing, acting, catering.... First saw it on VHS when it was in new release. I didn't quite get it then and I still don't get it now. Don Johnson is just playing Don Johnson with an unlit cigarette in his mouth to remind you that he's not one of his TV characters. Mickey Rourk doesn't seem sure what he's supposed to be doing for most of the movie and when you notice how strangely he holds his mouth during 'tense' moments of the film, its the only thing you can look at. Not quite memorable enough to hit the nostalgia zone. you're probably better off skipping this one.

This will always be one of the model cult movies for me, just fun to watch. Wincer did good here, Rourke and Johnson fits their characters nicely and the rest of cast is good in character. Enough action and memorable one - liners, liked from the day I saw it first upon release
