Dumont W This a movie that should have never been made but it's awesome and takes me back to a time... Phile it cowards. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/21/24 Full Review Glenn G Other than the language at times I loved the movie. Both these guys go together like ketchup and mustard and the acting is really good. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 02/21/24 Full Review Anthony J Both the leads who had bigger success earlier in their careers, are trying for 'cool'; women, fights, insouciance. Dig us! That's all there is. Plot? Ludicrous. A waste of an hour and 36 minutes. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 09/20/23 Full Review Parker D I think this is a unique film because it takes place in the west of America and it bassically combines motorcycle biker dude stuff in Las Vegas, Arizona, New Mexico and salons, and other western stuff like cowboys with action and ones that look Ridley Scott/ tony Scott style filmed this is a movie only people that are biker dudes in leather jacket and smoking cigarets and cigars and who live in the west coast of United States and drink beer in bars and form tough biker gangs would find a masterpiece and a work of art but as a movie itself it is average as critics would find it as the reception upon release was very average and though this was released in 1991 the beginning of the 90s and end of the 80s where I believe motorcycle leather jacket and motorcycle riding cowboy Motörhead music listeners were very popular this film itself was a box offfice flop resulting of how it's mentioned as a flop but just because this movie flopped wich it did only box office money making wise doesn't mean the movie was an actual disaster or train wreck of a film it wasn't and isn't majority would think this as an ok film admitting it has some really cool motorcycle chase scenes and even well filmed action shootouts and it represents the culture of motorcycle jacket gangs and life of the west coast near Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico and eve west of Texas mickey rourke looks perfect for a role of a tough biker dude and though of course he wasn't trying to get Oscar nominated and Oscar's wouldn't nominate actors that play a motorcycle biker dude from the west he did give a decent performance after all he is supposed to act tough and have a personality of a biker and leather jacket dude that would listen to Motörhead style biker metal music he definetly has to have tried even though he did this for money it must have been that the studio at the time payed him to star as a motorcycle dude named Harley Davidson making friends and teaming with a cowboy dressed dude named as the Marlboro man played by don johnson who is also decent here the movie has a lot of style than substance but somewhere there is a story though this movie is made as entertainment movies to just enjoy for the action and the lion of its locations and making you feel like you are in the towns of the west coast where there are bars and plains and of course alot of motorcycle dudes this in my opinion is one of Mickey rourkes better films if not his very best or critically acclaimed like the wrestler wich was his only performance that would get Oscar nominated before he was probably an actor that does movies for financial reasons anyhow it's still one of my favorite movies of his next to barfly, year of the dragon, the pope of Greenwich village, angel heart, rumble fish, body heat, sin city, and the wrestler it is definetly a movie to watch for fans of motorcycle, leather jacket dude and western city bars and smoking style and culture the movie is just ok but a good film for entertainment and relaxation critics would give this a rather respectable five but I personally would give this a seven out of ten it's watchable and very enjoyable and a perfect example of watching a movie about culture and population of western Barr and smoking motorcycle leather jacket dude culture this is probably the best one about that stufff especially since I don't see many movies that depict this stuff still its not a perfect film that has a great script. But it's still a good movie in its own way and I definetly reccomend it 7.5/10 🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬🚬 Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 12/29/22 Full Review isla s The supposedly futuristic look of this film made me smirk a bit, given the film dates from 1991, its likely unsurprisingly to hear that it seems rather dated but thats not to say its not a good watch anyway. Some scenes all but reek of the corporate yuppie culture of the time it was released in. The film has a kind of dystopian feel to it - not that everything depicted in this futuristic society is awful but there's definitely a depressing, grim undertone to it, put it that way. The music played in the background has a sombre tone to it as well. One of the main characters has an accent that made it sound like they'd been lifted right out of a Western. The bad guys looked a bit like characters from The Matrix films, wearing body covering black leather/plastic garb. I found myself feeling a little lost in terms of plot intricacies but the action scenes aren't badly done and its a somewhat entertaining watch and the final few scenes were surprisingly engrossing, so overall I'd say this is worth a watch if it interests you, even though its a bit dated and grim. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Brain dead manly man's movie full of fistfights, gunfights, explosions, cigarettes, motorcycles, Daniel Baldwin in a weird trench coat, and Tom Sizemore as a preening big bad.
