Mellow plot. Good performances. Good outbursts. What else is there to say. The interesting thing for me though, is how autobiographical most of her movies actual were, after a certain point for her career. This is a good example of that. It is about Harriet Craig who holds more regard for her home and its possessions than she does for any person in her life. Joan Crawford and Wendell Corey give incredible performances. The screenplay is well written. Vincent Sherman did a great job directing this movie. I enjoyed watching this motion picture because of the drama. Harriet Craig is a must see. Kind man Wendell Corey marries Joan, who he quickly finds out is a neurotic and controlling crazy person who cares more about her house and possessions in it over any of the people in her life.
