Audience Member nice japanese drama. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/18/23 Full Review Audience Member "Haru's Journey" can be difficult at times due to the gradual pacing and to grandfather Tadao's (Tatsuya Nakadai) obstinately and selfishly childish behavior. Nakadai's performance, trying as the character can be, is impressive for it's range and believability - we feel at turns saddened and infuriated by this old man who leans too heavily on his granddaughter. Eri Tokugawa as the granddaughter Haru matches his performance with her own less showy, though equally strong, performance. The cast who make up the rest of the family these two visit in turns inhabit their own, often equally prickly, characters just as well. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews
