It's not everyday that you see a comedian deliver a comedy special on the illusion of freedom of speech with such clarity. But then again, it's not everyday that you get to see Hasan Minhaj release a special.

[Minhaj] knows exactly where to ramp up the energy, just like he knows exactly when to shut up and let mental images waft over his audience as he whips into Blackbox theater mode, dissecting the cost of being a jester who makes a mockery of the court.

I love Hasan, but this was like being clubbed over the head with earnestness over and over. I honestly wish he would lean more towards the comedy and away from the dramatic close-ups.
